I did try the Windows Troubleshooters, HP Diagnostics, and even tried reinstalling the drivers, but to no avail. I get a message of No Audio Output Device Installed with a red X on the speaker icon, and I can't use my microphone or speaker when this happens. I got a new device last week, the one I am currently typing on.
